Cancellation and Refunds Policy

1. Scope
This Cancellation and Refunds Policy ("Policy") applies to all payments made to This Week in AI for cohort programs, workshops, digital resources, events, and related services ("Services"). This Policy is intended to align with applicable Indian laws, including consumer protection and payment regulations.
2. Nature of Services
Our Services are primarily digital and service-based, with limited seats and time-bound delivery schedules. On enrollment, you may receive immediate access to materials, onboarding information, live sessions, recordings, and private community channels.
For low-ticket products such as short courses, mini-workshops, and digital resources priced below USD 10 (or equivalent INR/other currency), all sales are final and non-refundable unless required by law.
3. Cancellation by Participant
You may request cancellation subject to the conditions below:
- 7 days or more before cohort start date: Eligible for a full refund of program fee, less non-refundable payment gateway/bank/currency charges.
- Within 7 days before cohort start date: Eligible for a 50% refund of program fee, provided the first live session has not occurred and paid material access has not been substantially consumed.
- After cohort commencement: No refund once the first live session starts or paid materials are made available, except as explicitly provided in this Policy or where mandatory law requires otherwise.
4. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Us
If we cancel a paid cohort or event before commencement, you will be offered:
- A full refund of the amount paid; or
- Transfer to a future equivalent batch/event; or
- Credit note for future Services.
If a session is rescheduled, we will communicate revised dates. If revised dates are materially unsuitable and no reasonable alternative is available, we may offer proportionate remedies at our discretion.
5. Duplicate or Failed Transactions
If your account is debited more than once for the same payment due to technical or banking/gateway issues, we will verify and refund duplicate amounts.

- On verification, we generally initiate refunds within 7-10 working days.
6. Non-Refundable Amounts
The following are non-refundable unless required by law:
- Payment gateway charges, convenience fees, and bank charges
- Currency conversion and forex charges
- Taxes (including GST) already remitted to statutory authorities, where adjustment is not legally permissible
- One-on-one sessions, consulting, and add-ons once delivered, booked, or scheduled
- Low-ticket short courses/workshops/resources below USD 10 equivalent, as specified in Section 2
7. Exceptional Circumstances
In exceptional cases (for example, serious medical emergency), you may request special consideration with supporting documents. We may offer, at our discretion:
- Partial refund
- Program deferral to a future batch
- Non-cash credit note
Decisions are made case-by-case after review. This does not limit your non-waivable statutory rights under applicable law.
8. No-Show and Early Exit
- Non-attendance, late joining, or non-use of purchased Services does not create refund entitlement.
- Voluntary withdrawal after commencement is non-refundable except as stated in this Policy.
9. How to Request Cancellation/Refund

- Order/payment date and paid amount
- Transaction ID/payment reference
- Reason for request and supporting records (if any)
10. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method only (where technically feasible).
- We generally initiate approved refunds within 7-10 working days. Final credit timelines depend on banks/payment partners.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by banking networks, card issuers, UPI service providers, or payment gateways.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you initiate a chargeback/payment dispute, we may submit relevant records (transaction logs, communication, policy acceptance details) to payment partners, banks, or networks to contest or resolve the dispute. We encourage you to contact us first for faster resolution.
12. Fraud Prevention and Abuse
We reserve the right to deny cancellation/refund requests that are fraudulent, abusive, repetitive without basis, or intended to obtain unauthorized access to paid content. We may suspend associated accounts pending review.
13. Grievance Redressal
For unresolved payment or refund concerns, write to hello@thisweekinai.club with full details. We will review and respond within a reasonable period in line with applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in business practices, legal requirements, or payment operations. Revised versions will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to any applicable arbitration arrangement in our Terms of Service, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes related to this Policy.
